I have to admit I was blown away by the new Loblaws in the old Maple Leaf Gardens. This is “Supermarket” elevated to a new level ““ capital S. Hard not to think you’re in Europe as you stroll the vast presentations of meats, cheeses, produce and all kinds of take-home foods. Stunning displays and generosity of spirit. The hulky exposed concrete nature of the place creates an exciting industrial feeling ““ and a sense of history.
When you’re done food shopping enjoy some people watching from the café, before heading to the LCBO on the 2nd floor which is right next door to a Joe Fresh. Could Saturday mornings get any better? Free underground parking too!
