THE MIQUEL MAGIC

Laurent Miquel’s Unoaked Chardonnay is one of my top-10 wines at the LCBO, and here’s an opportunity to explore his Viognier. If you’ve been enjoying the clean, refreshing edge in the Chardonnay, you’ll also find that characteristic here in the Viognier. Which puts a welcome edge ~ on this often-too-pretty grape variety. You still get the charming tropical flavours, but not in your face. I love the combination of richness and freshness which means it’s a rare all evening white.

The Mood for this wine: The need for a refreshing aperitif, but with enough richness to partner food.
