PORTUGAL’S EVERYDAY PINOT!

I often find a seductive, lightish, Pinot quality in the wines from Portugal’s Dao region. High elevation, cool climate and tradition are probably the contributing factors, but who knows. What I do know is this wine has a good cheer, happy feeling. A delightful gulper. I drink a lot of Cabriz wines when in Portugal ““ you would too if you knew the price over there. However, I’m happy to pay the LCBO price for Cabriz.

The Mood for this wine: The need for a party crowd-pleaser, or a light-feeling red to partner white meats. Patio lunches down the road.
