Most of the red wines I drink are in the mid-range, and everyday in style. Sometimes I enjoy a fruity character but my favourites are wines with an earthy quality. Where I feel a connection to a place and experience a little mystery. The harder it is to describe, the more I like the wine.
I’m not saying that these are the best of wines but I find them very nourishing. And mostly affordable. For an earth-to-wine experience check out Mas Donis at Vintages. It’s the 3rd or 4th wine I’ve recommended from this winery tucked away in the hills of Northern Spain.
