Burgundy is home to the most celebrated Chardonnays on the planet, but it has a suburb called Macon, which produces wines crafted for everyday. Non-oaked wines designed to be drunk young, and without fuss. Of course the price in our market is hardly everyday, but worth exploring should you like an extra shot of pleasantness and creaminess. I think Macon is a lovely sipping wine for early evening, or with a weekend lunch. Or any light meal. ~
