When is the black dress not a safe choice?
I saw a funny thing happen at a smart downtown TO café where the all female staff wore black dresses. Customers in smart black dresses were mistaken for staff. Women entering, leaving, or headed to the washroom were flagged down for drink orders. Not all of them thought it funny. I certainly did.
Far too many restaurant employees look like their patrons. It is very difficult to identify staff especially in my hometown where the color black is what most women wear. Employees should look like they are working!
