SUMMER DINNER PARTY WITH TWO WAKEFIELDS

I have a fondness for the light touch and elegance in the wines from Australia’s Wakefield winery. And Vintages is currently offering a white and red around which to create a delightful summer dinner party.

The Riesling (dry) has the force and purity to get things started on a high note. Along with deliciously teasing delicate flavours. Wakefield’s Pinot is the kind of red I love in warm weather ““ ~ light for sure, but with a “˜be happy’ feeling. I suggest chicken or pork, and add some spice to marry with the slight sweetness in the wine. Serve lightly chilled, of course.

The Mood for these wines: To have a change from beefy-BBQ with something lighthearted, and sort of elegant. Leisurely white tablecloth lunch or supper.
