SUMMER WHITE WORTH SEEKING OUT

I fell in love with Picpoul many moons ago at a seafood restaurant in Ireland and have been enjoying bottles every summer since. Production of this south of France white is tiny but I guarantee you’ll not regret the effort put into securing a stash. Packed with energy and lip-smacking refreshment, Picpoul is also intense enough for seafood or white meats. It’s hard to describe how it feels but with a little imagination it could be thirty-dollar Chablis. I’m serious.

The Mood for this wine: Summer evening on the patio with friends who take a moment to notice things. Refreshment for sure but also a partner for seafood and lighter main dishes.
