SUMMER BEER IS ALREADY HERE
In the summer months the Brits add lime or lemon to beers for extra refreshment, and to lower the alcohol. We can now get the same effect ““ pre-packaged thanks to Austria’s Stiegl brewery. Their grapefruit “˜Radler’ (German word for shandy) is 60% lemon/grapefruit/orange juice and 40% beer. Weighing in at only 2% alcohol. And this is no candy-cute commercial schlock ““ the flavours are pure, real and refreshing. Kato and I cannot stop drinking the stuff. Mainly between meals of course. Think we’ll need to get a second fridge when the warm weather arrives.
