Rockin’ Rodet

I’ve been recommending this red for years and having tasted the delicious 2012 edition it’s time to really shout-it-out. It offers Beaujolais-style fun and fruitiness, along with a little rustic feeling. The French café feeling – by the second glass you’ll be over there!

But Rodet’s wine is not just for Euro travelers, it could easily convert die-hard Shiraz fans. Sure it is less hefty and intense, but note the silky charm. The ability to feel both dry and slightly sweet, both rustic and pretty – contrasts that deliver more than a single show. Contrasts that keep the palate interested from glass to glass. The French thing.
