My favourite bargain Aussie red now has a white mate in the form of Viognier. As with the red, it’s got Euro sensibilities ““ bone dry, lightish and very refreshing. Low flavoured and un-glamorous for sure, but worth exploring, especially if you’re already drinking similar-style whites such as Pinot Grigio.
