MEET SAVOURY SEMILLON

While the rest of the world offers Sauvignon Blanc straight-up, the Bordelaise like to blend with the Semillon grape. With the wine below, the Semillon grape adds a savoury note ““ producing ~ a really good partner for seafood, white meats, quiche, or any pastry dish. However, this blend is not for everyone as some might find the slightly green olive, bone dry, quality unappealing. It’s certainly not a party sipper, think instead summer patio lunch ““ bring on the broccoli quiche!

P.S. Wonder what the folks at the prestigious Chateau Haut-Brion think of a neighbour using (almost) their hallowed name?!
