The Rex is one of the last remaining old Toronto Taverns ““ the real thing. There’s jazz seven nights a week and afternoons too on the weekend, but it’s the time warp tavern atmosphere of the place that draws me back. No bouncer on the door or pretentious staff ““ but clean enough to take your girl. One of my favourite TO outings is a fancy downtown dinner,~ followed by a few night caps and jazz at the Rex.
