Strut is a new line of Niagara VQA wines aimed at a young audience. Each wine label features great looking woman’s legs and a playful name such as “˜well heeled’. It’s a bold concept that’s somewhere between cheeky and cheesy. It will be interesting to see if it’s girls or guys that buy the wine. They sell for $11.95 and are only at Winerack stores.
Chardonista 08 is super vanilla sweet. Bar girl wearing lots of perfume.
Well Heeled White 08 is semi sweet with lots of Gewurz spice. Pretty, if a bit softhearted.
Red over Heels 07 Merlot is also loaded with vanilla ““ could be related to little Penguin.
The most natural wine is Cab Culture 07 ““ but more of a friend than a date.
Well-heeled White is the nicest white wine surprise I have had from Ontario in just about forever. At the price it is hard to beat – I agree that it isn’t a super-sophisticated wine but since I tend to drink it with food that is pretty tough on white wine anyway, i think it stands up pretty well where a more expensive bottle would probably not be appreciated.
Thanks for writing John. And for reading!
Best, Billy
