Blockbuster is not an Ontario wine feature, nor should it be desired. However, it’s fun to entertain the odd “˜big red’ such as this Syrah. Winemaker Rob Power has been working on the Broken Press project for several years and all I can say is “˜well done.’

Sure they’re expensive, but these are great wines. Both are loosely modeled on Bordeaux with the view that blends are more complete than single grape varieties. Grown and made in Canada, but impressive enough to literally take anywhere. Will be most appreciated by well-travelled palates.
