Californian Pinot

CALIFORNIA’S CARNEROS COMES THROUGH FOR THE PINOT LOVER

Thanks to the California promotion we have a couple of very good Pinot from Carneros ““ always considered a prime region for this grape variety. While they’re nor bargain priced, I think they will appeal to the Pinot fan ““ who’s well used to paying premium for their favourite.

CaliforniaChateau St. Jean delivers a mix of richness, seductive spicy/fruity flavours and something earthy. A good shot of Pinot character for the price. Delicious sipper or food partner.

Buena Vista is one of California’s oldest wineries that recently had a major overhaul by new owners, the Boisset family from Burgundy. Hence the understated, French character in this Pinot. Sure there’s Californian ripeness and richness, but the overall feeling is down to earth and bistro-ish.

CHATEAU ST. JEAN 11 Pinot Noir, Carneros, California 308221 $19.95

BUENA VISTA 11 Pinot Noir, Carneros, California 304105 $24.95
