Have you noticed that some coffee shops now serve drink too! No, not Tim’s nor Bucks but the independent guys. Which is where you should be going anyhow. Not sure if this is a relaxation of the laws or a bit of bravado, but it’s nice to be able to indulge in the Euro habit of something strong with your espresso. A little grappa to chase the crema out of the bottom of an espresso cup never hurt anyone
