Why pay the extra for this Beaujolais? Isn’t Beaujolais just a fun wine, so why spend more than the going $13-$14 price? Good questions. Yes, Beaujolais is all about fun, but every now and again I come across one that delivers fun plus. The fun feeling takes on a specialness ““ there’s personality and charm. Fun gulping shifts to slow sipping. And maybe thoughts such as “wish I’d worn something nice.” The wine below is so delicious you will be prompted to sip, rather than gulp. If ever these was the perfect red for roast chicken. But it would be a shame not to savour a lightly chilled glass or two beforehand. This is one of the most charming/delightful wines I’ve tasted in a long time. Something I’d take to my desert island.
