A 5.5% ALCOHOL RED!

A LOW ALCOHOL RED THAT COULD CHANGE THE WORLD!!

The folks at Torres have always been ahead of the game. Doing organic farming and being carbon and climate conscious before it became trendy. And now the winery has reinvented their flagship red, Sangre de Toro to a 5.5 % alc. format. This is a bold move in an era when most of the world’s best-selling reds check in around 15% alc. The clincher for me is Torres have found a way to retain Sangre’s strengths ““ delicious strawberry flavours and lively/refreshing spirit ““ at this low alcohol point. One sip and I was in the mood for summer parties and picnics. And the night’s dinner of course. I’ll be drinking lots of this not just because of the low alcohol, but because it tastes so damned good. Think Beaujolais, think the need to chill. Bravo. Come summer I might decant into a large jug, and add an ice cube or two.
