These are powerful words and I’m sad to see them as brand names for two really bad local wines. Dare Red is nasty bitter stuff camouflaged with candy sweetness. Truth White is musty, dusty and dreary. And both are $12.95. How on earth did they pass the VQA panel!
Every time I go into the store, I look at the Truth and Dare packaging and think back to the early 70’s when Mr Peller flogged a product called Moody Blue – some sort of blueberry confection packaged up in a label featuring a blue jean pocket. I’m sure the label sold plenty of that product but very few people went back to try it again.
Thanks Billy for doing the legwork for so many wine lovers. I rarely make a move at the store without consulting with your website/handbook.
