Must say I was suspect of a Pinot at this price (organic too), as the LCBO has a habit of buying crowd-pleasing editions of popular wine styles. But this is very real – not in the least commercial. Very dry, tart, gutsy and certainly rustic. Which is how honest everyday Pinot tastes. Shades of Barbera too – invigorating and a great palate teaser. Certainly not for the Shiraz fan. Lightly chill, and have as you prepare supper. And with any white meat, and of course Italian tomato-sauced dishes. Perfect for this time of year!
