Stocking the Holiday Cupboard #2

A few general purpose LOCAL WHITES

There is a lot of “˜shop local’ sentiment around this year so don’t be caught with a garage full of Chile. All the following are easy-drinking, crowd-pleasers. I suggest an open bottle of local Chard and Riesling in every fridge for the Holidays. Charmes Aligoté is a must for the “˜something different’ category. (And we love their new label.)

  • Billy,
I love Aligote – it’s interesting, delicious, and Chateau des Charmes makes a great Aligote. I think it’s one of Ontario’s hidden gems. Well maybe not hidden anymore since you featured it.
