Some years ago, Fairview’s guru winemaker, Charles Back created a line of wines in “˜homage’ to France’s Rhone region ““ of which this is one. In this case he employed all the classic Rhone grapes, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre and Carignan, duplicating the Rhone’s great drinkability. Goats’ has a whiff of the South African smoky flavor making for excellent partnership with roasted/grilled/BBQ’d foods. Burger or ribs for sure.
