I find Rhone reds to be more interesting that most New World wines because they offer flavours that go beyond obvious fruit and vanilla. And they come with a sense of place – the herb covered hills of the south of France. There’s also a little mystery – the stuff of Old World red wines.
Perrin’s Rhone is a wonderful combination of traditional ‘wineyness’, and modern bright, tasty flavours. Medium-bodied, mild-mannered and very gulpable. Invites good times – at the supper table, or the party. Check-it-out before the sale ends. Lightly chill. Handy screw cap.
