MORE THAN 20 LOCAL WINERIES ON APRIL 16
The Ontario Wine Society is hosting another one of their great tastings on Wednesday, April 16. Don’t miss this opportunity to sample wines from all the Ontario regions. Here’s their press release.
The Ontario Wine Society is pleased to announce the return of 5 STARS, a wine tasting event showcasing the very best in Ontario wines: Riesling, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and Sparkling Wines on Wednesday, April 16 at The Faculty Club, University of Toronto.
Over 20 local wineries will give attendees the chance to sample their wines, including many of their vintages. This unique event offers guests the opportunity to try wines they may not find in their local LCBO and to learn more about Ontario wines and the wines Ontario does best.
“An event like this allows attendees and winery staff to converse regarding what they enjoy about Ontario wine, their winemaking philosophy, which grapes perform particularly well in their corner of Ontario wine country. It’s also something that aligns nicely with the Ontario Wine Society’s ethos of building local wine culture,” said Mike Di Carlo, of Spotlight Toronto.
Participating wineries include: Colio Estate Wines, Cooper’s Hawk Vineyards, Flat Rock Cellars, Greenlane Estate Winery, Henry of Pelham, Huff Estate Winery, Kacaba Vineyards Winery, Keint-He Winery & Vineyards, King’s Court Estate Winery, Peller Estates Winery, Pondview Estate Winery, Sandbanks Estate Winery, Southbrook Vineyards, Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery, Sue-Ann Staff Estate Winery, Tawse Winery, Thirty Bench Wine Makers, Trius Winery, Vieni Estates and Vineland Estate Winery. More wineries are expected to be announced.
The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. and tickets are $58 for members and $68 for general admission. You can take advantage of the ~½ price event voucher when you purchase your OWS membership for $40. Please visit www.ontariowinesociety.com to purchase your tickets and for more information.
