6.~  A TRIO OF WHITES FOR THE PARTY SEASON
You’re sure to get “this is nice” comments with Boschendal’s blend of pretty grape varieties. A trace of sweetness from the Chenin and exotic fruit flavours from the Viognier. Lovely laid back feeling but there’s lots of energy to keep the show moving. Perfect party sipper and family pleaser. And value.

Now for an aperitif wine ““ something with a snazzy French feeling. While the Rhone region is best known for red wine it also produces an excellent white somewhere along the lines of a non-oaked Chardonnay. Understated in flavour but full of life and semi rich. With a confident, well brought-up feeling. Smart wine at a reasonable price.

P.S. Pair with Chapoutier’s red Rhone for a cannot-fail evening. For the best buy in rich Chardonnay look no further than Cono Sur Reserva. Not only do you get big flavours and a glamorous personality, but refreshing shivers too. A lovely tease of cold and warmth. Purity and indulgence. Brilliant show for the price. Pass the shrimp.
