Sipping this red wine as I read the menu while soaking-up the atmosphere, I’d be saying stuff like “heavenly, the French really know how to make wine”. Not in the high impact way that’s very popular today, but with a touch that draws you into a range of possibilities. Several chapters later I will feel satisfied, but not stuffed. The wine will have been a good companion for the place, food and me. I’ll want to do it again the next night.
I congratulate the restaurant on serving their reds slightly chilled. I had the roasted chicken, but any white meat, even grilled salmon, would have been perfect with Ch. Baracan.
