Calmel & Joseph is a picture postcard winery set in the rolling hills just south of Carcassonne. Everything is ultra modern and in good taste ““ shades of California, as are the wines. This Chardonnay is medium-bodied, and while it’s a bit vanilla/oaky, it wears it well. Pretty and hard to resist. Especially at this price. Think herb-roasted chicken or anything in a cream sauce.
