FOOD ROSES~ FROM SOUTH OF FRANCE and a NEW STAR FROM PORTUGAL
There is almost as much diversity in Rosé as in red or white wines, but in the interest in keeping life simple I categorize them into two styles ““ light, refreshers for hot weather gulping, and the more expensive richer ones for the table. Both of the wines below are in the later style.
Bressades has been a favourite for several years and the 2019 is classic south of France ““ freshness, fruitiness, along with the herbaceous thing. ~ Wonderful middle palate, so the second and third glasses keep your interested and satisfied.
Medeiros is a dead ringer for the Provence style rose. Pale colour, delicate flavours, some richness and that life-is-good feeling. Even the label looks French classy. A great example of what Portugal can offer ““ could well be the buy of the season for your special alfresco lunches and dinners
