The folks at Bacalhao are first out of the gate with their great value Rosé. Fruity, refreshing and not too far removed from the Provencal edition at twice or three times the price. Highly recommended for parties, and week-night sloshing. And, big summer weddings for sure.
P.S. This winery was originally called Joao Pires (JP), but now goes by Bacalhao in honour of the codfish connection of a former owner. It’s located in the cheese-making village of Azeitao, which is part of the Setubal wine region. So now you know why such a long name below.
