One of the things we are discovering with County Pinot is its ability to age along the same lines as Burgundy. As in developing earthy ‘farmyard’ flavours and Fall day feelings. They are lightish for a red wine – an experience far removed from jammy berries and mocca. And certainly not for everyone, but appealing to old-world Pinot heads. Best enjoyed soon, such as this Fall, with simply grilled meats – red or white.
