Chile is number one for value these days (and doing well for quality too). My first impression of the Gato Negro was that it lacked Sauvignon character, but my understanding of the wine improved on the second gulp. “Hey, this has the friendly, easy drinking quality of a Pinot Grigio.” Maybe they got the label wrong! Who cares?! Save money and buy for summer parties.
