Best Baguette Award

We interrupt my Holiday wine shopping list for a baguette break. Last week as I was indulging my bread craving ““ big time ““ at All the Best (one of the beautiful-but-pricy food stores next to the Summerhill LCBO) I spotted a baguette with the most gorgeous knarly, golden crust. Out in the parking lot I was excited to discover this was more than a good looker. Crunchy crust was followed by chewy/flavourful/yeasty inside. Perfect texture. Perfect baguette. Worth the extra. If I had time I would have driven up to Mount Pleasant and checked out the people who made my loaf ““ but maybe you can.
