If you are one of the many who enjoy lighter, livelier and more delicate reds, this is going to please. The parish of Brouilly produces Beaujolais with delicious pure flavours that both delight and tease the palate. Very pure and classy. Very suggestive of summer picnics, or lazy times in the patio. So get some and start dreaming. Lightly chill.

I used to complain about the lack of good cru beaujolais at the LCBO, but things really are changing. I have enjoyed a whole bunch recently, Regnie, Julienas, Chenas as well as brouilly and Morgon. Henri Fessy’s Moulin a Vent is on sale at the regular LCBO for $20 and it’s great. There is a very interesting but not cheap (around 23 dollars) Jadot Morgon from 2009.
Bravo Geoffrey! Often wonder if I’m the only Beaujolais drinker outside France.
Billy, you’re not! This Beaujolais made for a perfect Sunday afternoon. Loved it.
