AN AMAZING EVERYDAY PRICED MATURE SPANISH RED
Usually I find Spanish Gran Reservas (Rioja) to be too old ““ tired and faded. Not to mention very expensive. But this guy bucks the trend, on both counts. It packs a punch, and it’s everyday priced. The combination or rustic bitterness and mature flavours suggest traditional pot roasts, or any slow cooked meats. Cheap meats with cheap time. Worth celebrating.
P.S. Anciano is low-priced because it comes from the “˜lesser known’ Valdepenas region (South of Madrid).
