After years of shoddy French wine buying the LCBO seems to have turned a corner. I’ve posted at least six very good wines already this year and here’s another. Vaugelas from Corbieres in the south of France delivers the perfect combination of modern drinkability (let’s party) with old-world character (let’s eat).
Love the combination of rich, ripe flavours and bright vitality. And refreshing pucker ““ and rustic edge. French wine in the traditional style ““ very real. Crafted mainly for the bistro table, and not the palate of some American critic. Best new LCBO red in decades.
