Great Wine+Situation Experiences #2
FIRST OYSTERS OF THE YEAR
Oysters always taste best outdoors and the recent balmy weather we experienced in March provided such an opportunity. A taste-off of West Coast, East Coast and Irish didn’t produce a clear winner, but the wine choice was. Went the no-brainer route with Oyster Bay Sauv and it proved to be one of the best oyster partners I’ve ever experienced. Low on flavour, but big on the cold, bracing feelings of the ocean. Really kicked-up the salty flavours in the oysters. Lots of wows!
P.S. Sure, you can finder less expensive Sauv, but this was one of those cases where a splurge paid off.
