This is not a recommendation as the wine is just about sold out. What I want to tell you about is the back label, which for once speaks the truth. Instead of the usual flowery, meaning-less dribble, a series of words appear in bold type. They are: FRESH, ZESTY, GOOSEBERRY, BOLD, LIME, DISTINCTIVE, EDGY ““ all of which capture the feeling of this wine, and a lot of other Sauvignon Blanc. I find it refreshing to see a winery offering the shopper clues around what to expect. Would be great if more followed their example.
P.S. However, the critic who penned the review in the Vintages catalogue did a poor job ““ calling the wine “delicious.” Which it’s not. It’s bold, edgy, fresh, etc, just like it says on the back label!
