Each year when we take our group to the J.M. Da Fonseca winery, most folks walk away with bottles of Moscatel. A fortified wine with luscious, exotic flavours. It’s irresistible – and reasonably priced. Fonseca (located in the Setubal region) has an entire cellar devoted to ageing Moscatel, which they have been making for over a century – so they’re sort of good at it. Chilled is my choice – usually on its own, or with biscotti or cake.
