Portugal’s Dao region produces medium-bodied reds that can be likened to Pinot. This one has Pinot’s easy-drinking feeling and strawberry note. There’s also the down-to-earth quality of everyday Chianti, and a few years of ageing has added a charming, mellow note. Lots to enjoy. My kind of house wine for summer drinking. Lightly chill, and decant out of the dark packaging into clear glass.
