In my opinion, the most luxurious New World sparkling comes from South Africa. Cannot say exactly why, but for now I’ll keep recommending wines such as this. By luxurious, I mean wines with concentration, richness, and the feeling of “˜full-flavoured’ Champagnes, such as Bollinger. But at a fraction of the price. Pour for aperitif and wow your friends. Rich enough to carry through to a seafood appetizer.
