Here’s a LOCAL EDITION of the red BORDEAUX STYLE
Rockway has come up with a fantastic bistro red. A mini Bordeaux at a reasonable price. The pucker of Cabernet along with the fruity cushion of Merlot. Medium-bodied with the elbows-on-the-table, bistro feeling. Bring on the burger, the chops or the BBQed beef. For me this is role-model for Ontario reds ““ the style that Ontario can comfortably produce, and which is unique outside of France.
In the past year I’ve had several good ““ and well priced, wines from Rockway but have never visited. A winery attached to a golf course fooled me into low expectations ““ but I was wrong. Off my rocker! Will pack the clubs and be there this summer.
