Don’t forget the Rosé! The dry, not the blush! Too many people put Rosé to bed at the end of Summer, but there is no better partner for a traditional Christmas dinner. Honest. I like to put all three coloured wines on the table and each year the Rosé wins the popular vote. Sparkling editions add a no-effort festive touch to events (more on these in a few days). Chivite’s wine is a tremendous value, and you may find some left-over Rosé treats in the Vintages section. Look for something from the South of France, Spain or Ontario.
