December Drinking Tip No.1

December Drinking Tip #1: Serve LIGHT REFRESHING REDS to balance the RICH TIMES/FOODS

I always pour Nouveau wines over the Holidays. Their refreshing tang and bright flavours have a way of restoring equilibrium in the season of excess. Serve lightly chilled of course. And if you really want to know the best wine with turkey ““ it’s Nouveau. You might get some flack from hard core wine geeks, but what do they know other than prestigious labels.

So check the stores for what’s left of Nouveau. My recommendations are:

NEGRAR 10 Novello del Veneto, Italy 899955 $9.95…Plummy, yummy and great value.
DROUHIN 10 Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau, France 113266 $14.95…Bright, flavourful and gulpable.
DUBOEUF 10 Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau, France
932780 $14.95…Fruity, fresh and delicious.
