GUESS WHAT? I FOUND ANOTHER FAVOURITE EVERYDAY WHITE!
We’re living in a golden age of white wine. Not only quality and value, but variety. Which is the cornerstone of wine as a drink. White’s big acts such as Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio are now joined by interesting blends such as this one from South Africa.
Goats is a Rhone white blend of Viognier, Roussanne and Grenache Blanc. It’s remarkably similar to Chapoutier’s White Rhone which I recently recommended. But it’s much better value. Comes across like a luxury version of non-oaked Chardonnay – manages to feel both glamorous while staying pure. The black dress idea – simple elegance. Bright, refreshing and special. Invites some Goats over.
