I recommended this wine about three years ago, but have had trouble finding it since – till it showed up at my local. Pasqua is a big Veronese producer – think Valpolicella – a light red with a refreshing tart tail. That is how this wine feels, despite coming from the south of Italy. Shades of what we used to get at Italian restaurants before they started pouring blockbuster Chilean and Argentinian. Summer will be the season – perfect house red for parties, and general socializing.
P.S. I like to decant the 1500ml bottle into two of regular size. Clear glass shows off the lightness of the wine. Lightly chill.
