Wine Fun in Peterborough

A FUN AFTERNOON IN PETERBOROUGH
Shari Darling, a wino colleague in Peterborough sent me the following blurb.
“On Sunday, April 15, 2012, we are holding the first annual Kawartha International Wine and Food Festival in Peterborough. The festival is being held at The Venue, at 286 George Street North from noon until 8 p.m. Tickets are $12.00 per person and include a Canadian Wine and
Food Pairing Wheel (retail value $10).

Our tagline is global wine; local food. We will have International and Ontario wineries, micro breweries and spirit vendors, along with amazing restaurants, cheese makers and gourmet shops. This is cottage country. A casual affair. Come in jeans and bring your friends!”

  • Hooray!! Great to see this venue promoted here! My dear friend Julie, who is the witty and wonderful proprietor of Chasing the Cheese, will be in attendance to supply quality nosh… and no doubt a smile or two.

Readers, you must go. Tell her that Mr. Wensleydale sent you.
