The Next Great Source of White Wine

Portugal’s Douro Valley has been producing wine for longer than most – the Port variety – but today there is something else happening as in amazing dry reds and whites. An example of the later is Delaforce’s Alvarino. It’s medium-bodied, hitting you with a curve ball spinning through areas of refreshment, savoury, earthiness and nourishment. Almost Chardonnay in personality, but a lot less glamorous. The perfect all-rounder, all evening white – with a lot of personality for the price.
