The Case for Expensive Rosé

Posted by on

GrandTraditionIf I was writing the Bible on Rosé it would have two commandments; buy Spain for everyday, and buy south of France for special occasions. Or whenever you have time to savour. A rule that applies to all wines that are not everyday-priced.

There is a special quality to the Rosés of Bandol and other Provence sites that makes them special, but not everyone will ‘gets it’ because it’s about subtlety. Instead of big flavours or brisk refreshment, the experience starts slowly – building like an expensive perfume. With persistence and a ‘hidden’ richness. The wine below will work for anyone who likes to set beautiful, French-style  patio table. And serve Mediterranean inspired food.

P.S. Most Bandol Rosés start at $25+ so this is good value.
