It’s coming, so why not get your stash before the stores become crowded – and half empty. Over the next two weeks I will be posting the DREAM WINE SHOPPING LIST for residents of Ontario – the best drinks, the best values and a few expensive treats.

Lillet is a wine-based, citrus-flavoured, friendly drink that hails from the Bordeaux region in France. It tastes like an off-dry, strong white wine that should be gulped without fuss. Millions of French do as a first of the evening. Refrigerate the bottle, pour over ice in tumbler glasses, with a nostalgic comment such as “my grandmother always served Lillet for the Holidays.”
